India's National Handloom Day Celebration and Promotion of Handlooms

We are delighted to share with you that Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India has declared 7th August as the National Handloom Day to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement which was launched on this day in 1905.
 
In this context AEPC reaches out to all our Members and our Associates, internationally as well, to promote Indian Handloom and also requests each one of you to promote the cause by making it a habit to buy Handloom garments by your family, members of the Staff and workers as also create an exponential growth. In addition, “Sustainability” is our motto in AEPC and promoting Handloom Apparel, is a positive step towards that effort.
 
“We strongly believe that you can buy a handloom piece today and secure the future of the noble ‘Weaving Community” for times to come!”
 
We are pleased to share the message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister as follows:

I am pleased to note that Mr. Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India shall be inaugurating National Handloom Day on 7th of August, 2020.  India has been very rich in the handloom designs and the apparel products made of  handloom fabric viz Bathrobes, Shirts, Dress material etc.  These products have great demand in Australia.  I wish all the best  on this day of National handloom to the apparel exporting community in India.
