Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) invites applications for the post of ‘Young Professionals’ based at its Head Office, Apparel House at Gurgaon on following criteria:

The Young Professional will be primarily responsible for facilitating promotion of exports of ready-made garments from India. This involves helping the Council in developing and implementing export promotion strategies, liaising with key stakeholders, and providing handhold support to AEPC members/RMG exporters on market intelligence and policy dissemination.

Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in economics/MBA in International Business

Work Experience: Preferably 2 years of experience in handling issues pertaining to International Trade, WTO, Trade Agreements, Foreign Trade Policy and Global Business Environment, Trade operations and documentation.

Other required skills:

  • Must be thorough with the fundamentals of data analysis, analytical tools( MS excel, powerpoint, Stata etc)
  • Possesses good command over English language
  • Must have good presentation and analytical skills

 

Key Responsibilities: To participate in developing and implementing strategies to promote and facilitate the growth of RMG exports through:
  • Developing Market intelligence reports capturing export-import market trends, trade regulations, and opportunities using trade data mining, compilation, and interpretation of available secondary information
  • Efficient handling of various economic and related databases and relevant websites like DGCI&S, ITC, UNCOMTRADE, WITS, Trade Map. WTO, OTEXA, Eurostat, EPB etc.
  • Curate domestic and national trade promotion events via identifying key focus products-markets for exports and developing promotional initiatives and facilitating access to these markets.
  • Responding to Ministry on ongoing trade agreements, export performance and FTP issues
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders including member exporters, Indian embassies/ Consulate General of India, fair authorities & PR agencies, industry associations, government bodies, internal departments, and international partners to build relationships and collaborate on initiatives to promote exports.
  • To support in organizing various international fairs
