Objective :

The main purpose of this Committee will be active coordination and communication with Central & State Governments on various issues such as –
  • To liaison with various Ministries such as Commerce, Textiles, Finance etc.
  • Finding solutions on various bottle necks experienced by garment exporters with agencies such as Customs, Labour Commissioner office etc.
  • Monitor council’s immovable assets.

Objective :

The committee will monitor and decide on various international and national fairs, delegations, buyer-seller meet, organizing of various seminars in the country, holding of export award function, WTO matters, Foreign Trade Policy matter, to organize international & domestic road shows and other matters delegated from time to time.

The Export Promotion Sub Committee is being kept small to ensure meaningful deliberations. All decision to be put up to the Executive Committee for final approval.

Objective

Objectives:
The Purchase Committee will be responsible for negotiation of major items of purchase at the H.O. It will also be responsible for negotiations of maintenance contracts and other such items related to the H.O.

Objective :

The Apparel Industry uses several raw materials and resources such as fabrics, trims, logistics support and software to facilitate trade. This Sub Committee will try to bring new technologies, new resources to the members of AEPC. The Sub Committee will explore possibility of holding garment resources exhibition at Apparel House, Gurgaon where industry partners from several segment may be invited to participate for the benefit of the members.

Objective :

To liaison with various State Governments and negotiate favorable terms for setting up industry in these regions and to take up matters relating to minimum wage, labour laws etc with respective State Government.

As the focus is on working with particular State Government therefore, the meetings will be convened Region Wise.


Sub-Committee will also facilitate young entrepreneurs of the industries interaction with the supply chain partners.

Chairman and Secretary General of Council will be the ex-officio member of all the Sub-Committees.

All Vice-Chairmen of the Council will be the members of all Sub-Committees except Coordination Committee & Staff Committee of the Council.

Objectives & Terms of Reference

  • To formulate strategy for promotion of showrooms at Apparel House, Gurgaon. To encourage buyers/buying houses to visit Apparel House, Gurgaon regularly and also have one to one business meetings.

  • To make efforts to ensure that existing showroom holders are benefited by regular visit of buyers/buying houses to the showrooms. To plan efforts to promote the business of existing showroom holders and suggest events i.e. fairs, exhibitions, fashion shows, seminars on the topical subjects etc to be organized at Apparel House.

  • Suggest hiring of an agency for marketing of the mart. The agency must suggest ways and means which will encourage buyers/buying houses to visit the mart on a regular basis.

  • To work with showroom holders to ensure regular opening of showrooms at Apparel House, Gurgaon. (132 showrooms are occupied by showroom holders and very few showrooms are being opened daily.)

  • To make strategy for consolidation of showrooms on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th floors. (At 2nd floor 22 showrooms, 3rd floor 26 showrooms & 4th floor 21 showrooms are vacant.)

  • To pursue the showroom holders for payment of outstanding maintenance charges, electricity charges and other amount due and to formulate strategy for future timely payments.

  • (Rs. 35.17 lacs towards maintenance charges & Rs. 0.77 lacs towards electricity charges are outstanding from showroom holders.)
