 AEPC the nodal agency for exports is the crucial link between Indian exporters and global markets. Having large membership, AEPC showcases Indian fashion in all over the world . For over a quarter century AEPC has been actively involved in the task for promoting export of Indian garments. To promote and highlight Indian garments in the International market for greater visibility and choice of product , the Council has desired to open a trade mart cum exhibition centre in the outskirts of Delhi. During 1995 a trade delegation of high level exporters under the chairman ship of the then Secretary-Textiles, Sh. T.S.R. Subramaniam visited to New York, Brussels & Amsterdam to see the trade marts established in those countries.
This was a successful visit so it has been decided to open such kind of mart cum exhibition center to meet the demands of buyers and accordingly a plot of 5 acre allotted by HUDA in sector-44, Institutional area , Gurgaon. The work has been planned and calculated estimated cost of Rs. 63.62 crore (including land cost) for the project against which government has funded.
